Bruce McCowan
Managing Director
Bruce is the founding Director of Harrier Resourcing People and has an extensive background in human resources and consulting. He has held senior executive appointments with HBOS Australia, BankWest and Gerard Daniels.
As head of Human Resources for HBOS Australia he reported directly to the CEO and was a member of the Executive Committee. He was responsible for all aspects of the HR function including OSH, employee relations, strategic sourcing, remuneration, HR consulting and organisational development.
Prior to establishing Harrier, Bruce held the positions of managing director of people resourcing strategies at Gerard Daniels.
He holds graduate and post graduate qualifications in Education and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Scott Crawley
Operations Manager
Scott Crawley is a founding Harrier shareholder with over eight years of recruitment, workforce planning, operational management and consulting experience.
Previously, Scott was an integral member of the People Resourcing Strategies group of Gerard Daniels. During this time he project managed the delivery of a number of graduate, vacation and international campaigns as well as implementing a number of scalable IT recruitment solutions.
Prior to that, Scott spent five years in London in senior operational roles within the IT sector. He trained as an engineer within the Rio Tinto Group for nearly four years and was part of an operational business improvement team that significantly increased plant capability.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons).
Philippe de Saint Jorre
Managing Consultant
Phil has a solid human resources and consulting background and has held senior roles with the Defence Department, Deloitte, Clough, Newcrest, BHP Billiton and Gerard Daniels.
He has worked at the strategic and operational levels in HR and general management across several industries including mining, oil and gas, engineering and construction and defence. Specific assignments he has worked on have involved strategic sourcing, HR consulting, international HR management and organisation development.
Phil’s work has also taken him to various international locations in North and South-East Asia and North America which included positions as the HR manager on a major gas field development in Pakistan and global resourcing manager for BHP Billiton Petroleum in the USA.
He has a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration
Matt Hewitson
Lead Talent Manager - HR Talent Pool
Matt joined Harrier having held senior consultant and business manager positions with an international recruitment firm in Perth and London. He comes from a generalist HR background and is an experienced HR recruiter.
Matt has established Harrier’s HR Talent Pool which specialises in the recruitment of HR professionals. With an emphasis on candidate care and relationship management, combined with his specialist market knowledge, Matt has an outstanding track record of recruiting HR professionals in WA and overseas.
He spent two years in the UK and led numerous recruitment campaigns for HR professionals spanning the UK and Europe. Across Europe, he concentrated on senior level HR recruitment, assisting in the establishment of three HR shared service centres for English and American companies.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Psychology degree.
