Bruce McCowan
Managing Director
Bruce is a co-founder and Managing Director of Harrier Resourcing People and is passionate about building a company that stands out for its reputation and values. On a daily basis, Bruce is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of Harrier, ensuring the operating divisions achieve client outcomes whilst aiming to exceed their expectations.
Bruce has held senior HR executive roles including HR Director for HBOS Australia and Chief People Officer for BankWest. He has extensive recruitment consulting experience from experience in senior positions in an international executive search firm.
He holds graduate and postgraduate qualifications in Education and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Scott Crawley
Operations director
Scott is a Director and founding shareholder of Harrier and looks after the Outsourcing Division and the broader operations function. With a degree in Engineering, and experience in Operational Management, IT consulting and resourcing, Scott is uniquely placed to explore his passion for people-related process and systems.
As head of Harrier’s Outsourcing Division, Scott works closely with a number of key clients, ensuring Harrier’s on-site teams deliver outstanding results to increase workforce capability within some of Australia’s most significant companies.
Philippe de Saint Jorre
Managing Consultant
Phil has a solid human resources and consulting background and has held senior roles with the Defence Department, Deloitte, Clough, Newcrest, BHP Billiton and Gerard Daniels.
He has worked at the strategic and operational levels in HR and general management across several industries including mining, oil and gas, engineering and construction and defence. Specific assignments he has worked on have involved strategic sourcing, HR consulting, international HR management and organisation development.
Phil’s work has also taken him to various international locations in North and South-East Asia and North America which included positions as the HR manager on a major gas field development in Pakistan and global resourcing manager for BHP Billiton Petroleum in the USA.
He has a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration.
Matt Hewitson
Lead Talent Manager
Matt founded Harrier’s HR and Recruitment Talent Sourcing division that specialises in the placement of HR and recruitment professionals in permanent, contracting and consulting positions. With an emphasis on candidate care and relationship management, combined with his specialist market knowledge and generalist HR experience, Matt has an outstanding track record of recruiting HR professionals in WA and overseas.
As a member of the WA AHRI Council, Matt's passion to increase the professionalism of the HR community has led him to convene an AHRI specialist forum titled "HR Business Partnering", as well as participate as a Mentor for HR Professionals.
Matt also holds a Bachelor of Psychology degree.
karla hayler
Talent Manager
Karla is a founding crew member of Harrier Resourcing People and is an experienced HR generalist having worked within financial services and listed investment banking companies in Perth and Sydney.
Karla has also worked with an international executive search firm where she specialised in HR Recruitment before she joined Harrier Resourcing People as the Recruitment Centre Team Leader for a leading International Oil & Gas company in Perth.
Karla has now joined the HR and Recruitment Talent Sourcing Division as a Talent Manager to look after the career transitions of Senior HR Professionals.
Karla holds a Bachelor of Commerce.

Marc joined Harrier having held various HR and Industrial Relations roles in both the mining and mining services sector.
Marc has held roles such as HR Superintendent and Employee Relations Specialist in Iron Ore mining in Western Australia and Uranium Mining in the Northern Territory. Marc has also held the role of state HR Manager for one of the world’s largest Caterpillar Equipment Dealers. With a focus on innovation and value add solutions, Marc applies his skills and knowledge to provide the highest possible service to both his candidates and clients in the HR function.
Marc holds a Bachelor of Business degree with a major in Human Resources Management along with a Post Graduate Qualification in Business Law, and is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws.
Anita Baroni
Lead Consultant
Anita is a key member of Harrier’s On-Site Recruitment Services division. With over 12 years of recruitment experience, incorporating extensive experience as both an in-house and executive search recruitment professional, Anita is uniquely placed to deliver exceptional recruitment services to clients.
With extensive tertiary qualifications and broad experience, Anita is both highly strategic and commercially astute. As an in-house recruitment professional Anita, has worked with three oil and gas operators and a major multinational mining operator enabling them to strive for best practice recruitment outcomes.
Anita’s specialization is developing and executing recruitment strategies to deliver upon hard-to-fill recruitment needs. She has experience in managing large recruitment projects, negotiating and managing agency relationships, as well as sourcing, selecting & implementing enterprise scale technology solutions.
Anita holds a MBA and a Bachelor of Business in Accounting along with post graduate qualifications in Education and Employee Relations.
